Singapore is a multicultural country, and the Chinese ethnic group is one of the major ethnic groups, accounting for approximately 76%of the total population.

Language: The main language of the Chinese ethnic group is Mandarin Chinese, but some people also speak dialects such as Hokkien, Hakka, and Cantonese. Additionally, English is widely spoken in Singapore and is one of the official languages of the country. 语言：华族的主要语言是普通话，但也有一些人讲福建话、客家话和粤语等方言。此外，英语在新加坡广泛使用，并且是该国的官方语言之一。
Religion: The Chinese ethnic group practices various religions, including Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. Many Chinese Singaporeans also follow Christianity and Islam.

Festivals: Traditional Chinese festivals are celebrated in Singapore, including the Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year), Mid-Autumn Festival, and Dragon Boat Festival. These festivals are typically occasions for family reunions and celebrations, where people engage in traditional activities such as moon gazing, making rice dumplings, and lion and dragon dances.

Additionally, Chinese calligraphy, painting, and paper-cutting are highly valued art forms.

Singapore’s Chinese culture has its own unique characteristics within the backdrop of multiculturalism. It is influenced by traditional Chinese culture while also integrating with the cultures of other ethnic groups, giving rise to a distinctive Singaporean Chinese culture. This multicultural environment has enriched Singapore’s society and culture with diverse arts, flavors, and traditions, adding to the allure of Singapore’s cultural landscape.

The main highlight of the event is the “On the Spot Drawing Competition,” where we warmly welcome young and aspiring children from across the nation to create stunning works of art at KINEX SHOPPING MALL. Participants will have limited time to create their artwork on the spot, testing their artistic abilities and their ability to draw under pressure.
活动的主要亮点是“现场绘画比赛”，我们热烈欢迎来自全国的年轻和有抱负的孩子们在 KINEX 购物中心现场创作精美的艺术作品。参赛者将有有限的时间现场完成作品，考验他们的艺术能力以及在压力下作画的能力。

Submission Requirements: A3-sized paper provided for each participant

Artistic Medium: Participants are required to bring their own art materials for painting (such as watercolors, acrylic paints, gouache, crayons, oil pastels, soft pastels, colored pencils, graphite pencils, and pens).
艺术材料：参赛者需自带绘画工具（如水彩、丙烯颜料、固体水彩、蜡笔、油画棒、软粉彩、彩色铅笔、石墨铅笔和钢笔）。

All participants will receive a certificate and a Goodie Bag (valued at $89). 阿果 (Aguo), whose real name is Li Gaofeng, is a Singaporean children’s book author, illustrator, lecturer at a polytechnic institute, columnist for “Lianhe Zaobao,” and a dreamer with unrealistic aspirations.
阿果（Aguo），本名李高峰，是一位新加坡儿童图书作家、插画家、新加坡某理工学院的讲师、《联合早报》的专栏作家，以及一位拥有不切实际理想的梦想家。
His murals are filled with nostalgic charm and vibrant life, depicting the bygone era of Singapore in the last century. The murals feature lifelike figures and scenes, making them ideal for interaction with visitors. The attention to detail is remarkable, capturing the essence of stepping into the past as if one were part of the mural itself.
